The Classical, Medieval and Renaissance Discussion Group will meet on Saturday June 22 in the Cardozo Room of the Washington Hilton,1919 Connecticut Avenue NW Washington, from 2:30-3:30. We will have speakers from two important local research centers of great interest to our group: the Center for Hellenic Studies and Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collections.

Daniel F. Boomhower, Library Director, and Joshua Robinson, Byzantine Studies Librarian, from the Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collections (https://www.doaks.org/), will speak about the library’s Byzantine collections, both books and archives, a bit about the history of the institution and its other Byzantine collections that complement the library (e.g. the Museum).

Lanah Koelle, Fellowships Program Manager and Librarian, Allie Marbry, Project and Programs Manager, and Anglia Hanardt, Editorial Assistant, from the Center for Hellenic Studies at Harvard University (https://chs.harvard.edu/) will talk about the Center’s library, programs, and the “First Thousand Years of Greek” initiative.

All are welcome!
