Charge
Promote research in European Studies, with a particular focus on library-related research. Assist in the dissemination of research results through conference programs, publications, and other means.
Conduct planning activities on behalf of the section as charged by the section chair or the Executive Committee.
Topics in European Studies
The Research and Planning Committee offers WESS members and other library colleagues an opportunity to present research projects in varying stages of completion (from initial research proposals to preliminary drafts to polished papers) in a public forum held during the committee’s meetings at the Midwinter meeting and the Annual Conference. The chief aim of “Topics in European Studies” is to provide colleagues with an informal setting in which they may receive friendly feedback on tentative plans for research or on more developed projects that are already underway.
